A couple of recent radio interviews related to museums in Singapore. It may be the sign of the times that museums are now "officially" a life-style centre. Whose life-style was that again? And are we in danger of confusing the means with the end?

A comment from a blog post on yesterday.sg which suggested that the role of NHB must extend beyond just promotion of museums and heritage, to one that also includes advocacy and as a watchdog for Singapore's tangible (and intangible, if I may add) heritage. I think this is plenty enough food for thought.
